In Beginner Tap Class you will learn the basic steps such as shuffle, flap, buffalo, first-time step, maxiford, and more! You will discover how you can take your basic steps and make many combinations of sounds with them. This is a fun and upbeat class that gets to dance to a variety of different music. Tap: Girl's tap shoes must be secured with elastic or tap shoe ties. Please discard ribbons Shoes: Pre-ballet/tap or toddlers: black patent leather easy on shoes(from our store) Tap ages 4-7: Girls wear white Mary Janes and boys wear black oxfords with ties. Beginning through advanced and adult: Black tied tap shoes with split sole. Males wear black Oxfords. Please check with teacher first if doing recital as they may choose a different shoe depending on the style of the dance. Girls outfit: Any solid color leotard and black leggings OR longer length (at least mid-thigh) black biker shorts A solid color, plain t-shirt not baggy or Stunning Dance Studio shirt over the leotard is acceptable.
